Effective October 1, 2007, ALL
American Airlines/American Eagle passengers
on an international flight are required
to hold a valid passport (in addition to
any other required documentation) to enter
or depart the
United States by air.
Minors traveling outside of their country of residence without
both parents/guardians may require additional documents.

New U.S. Passport Card is NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL BY AIR. The new U.S. Passport Card which the U.S. Department of State began issuing earlier this year may only be used for international land and sea travel between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. Note: these new U.S. Passport cards may not be used for travel by air.
